Abstract:Pearl River Delta includes the twenty six counties and cities by the entrance of Pearl River. At the in itial stages of reform and opening, following by the fast developing of economy, as a high-class format of urbanization, the cities group of Pearl River Delta had grown up in advance on the mainland. There are the good-sized and medium-sized cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhuhai, Huizhou, Jiangmen, etc. In this area, there still be the pint-sized cities such as Panyu, Nanhai, Shunde, Sanshui, Gaoming, Heshan, etc. At the same time, the amounts of vehicle rise rapidly since the reform and opening, but the scale of traffic foundation establishment increases slowly. At last, the contradiction of traffic supply and demand had been visualized increasingly. At present, it is the key period of economic development in Pearl River Delta. A certain extent, economic sustaining increase depends on the effective function of communications. Pearl River Delta and Kinki are separately the secondary strong cities group of economic development in China and Japan, they possesses the very important location in the respective communications and transportations. This essay makes the comparison and analysis of traffic system between two big cities groups-Pearl River Delta and Kinki, in terms of city structure, transportation system and traffic management. It points out the problems on communications in Pearl River Delta:being short of perfect management mechanism; being unbalance on the demand and supply of urban traffic system, etc. In order to balance the city transportation demand and supply, it must use advanced technology and rich experience of Kinki traffic system for reference, meanwhile develop "Kinki Style" traffic system. It puts forward as follows countermeasures:updating the conception and upgrading the altitude, collecting the capital through the community participating, constituting the specific traffic planning, collocating reasonably the correlation among "human, vehicle and road" in traffic system, implementing the policy of public traffic priority, developing the urban intellectualized traffic system, etc. In conclusion, the long views and audacious verve of the outsize cities group had been fetched out, "Kinki Style" construction, reconstruction and consummation had been carried through to adjust measures to local conditions. There will be the well-ordered circulating development orbit about the cities group communications, and promoting economic sustainable development of the whole cities group in Pearl River Delta.
